Welcome Chad Warren
Chad Warren has joined the Alumni Association as its new assistant vice president for engagement strategies. Chad previously worked in the College of Engineering as the senior director of strategic engagement and alumni relations. Prior to joining Ohio State, Chad served as the executive director, university outreach and engagement for the University of Dayton, reporting directly to the vice president of university advancement. In that role he provided overall direction for UD’s alumni relations and the Alumni Association. Chad also has professional experience as the director of annual giving for Florida State University, and worked as a senior operations manager and consultant with RuffaloCODY. Chad will oversee clubs/societies, engagement strategies, alumni tours, career management, volunteer relations, advocacy and student recruitment. Check out the new-look speakers’ page
Visit the Alumni Association website to view our updated speakers list. The list has grown to include more faculty and alumni who are willing to travel to visit your group and deliver a message about their important work. Speakers are free to clubs and societies and a service provided by OSUAA for annual events, spirit events, Summer Send Offs, Big Ten events, scholarship events and more. The speaker request form is on the speaker page. When requesting a speaker, please submit your four speaker choices and four potential dates. Submitting your requests several months in advance is the best way to ensure a chance at getting the speaker and date you require. Some of our speakers will also participate in the Club and Society Leadership Symposium Happy Hour from 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, September 26.

Rousing success for Pelotonia 14
More than 7,000 riders took to their bikes in central Ohio last weekend to participate in Pelotonia 14, the annual bike ride that benefits cancer research at Ohio State. This year’s ride has already generated nearly $12 million, adding to the $75 million raised since the ride was started.

Ohio State alumni give big
Ohio State alumni contributed close to $70 million to the university in annual fundraising results which were released in late July.

Scholarship leaders:
Information about the Alumni Association’s 2015-16 scholarship season will be sent to you in September. It isn’t too early to start planning and selecting your scholarship committee. Student lists will be sent in early January and scholarship amount projections will be sent in early February. The deadline for club ASP Cover Sheet and Rankings is February 25. If you have questions, contact Leslie Smith.

Logan Managing partner, McCloy Financial Services Jeff is Managing Partner of McCloy Financial Services and served 12 years on the Varsity “O” Alumni Board where he is a Past-President. He served on the selection committee for the hiring of Jim Tressel, and has been invited by current football coach Urban Meyer to speak to the football team about the transition into “real-life” after football.
